The Old Car Manual Project is an online library of automotive, marine and industrial literature available free for everyone to use.

We don't sell any print or electronic versions of any of the brochures on this site.

oldcarbrochures.org is our main site for brochures scanned in by Old Car Guys from all over the world. It is updated regularly. For more information on The Old Car Manual Project, please see our main about us page.

oldcarbrochures.com is an archive of our collection of brochures presented in a static html/jpg format with links that never change. From time to time we copyall the new materials from oldcarbrochures.org to oldcarbrochures.com. We do it this way so that there is a repository that you can link to and the links will never go away. oldcarbrochures.com has been this way since 2005, but it's always behind the main website. Visit oldcarbrochures.org for additions to the collection monthly, weekly and sometimes daily.

How to contribute

We post brochures and manuals for all North American, Canadian only, and Australian vehicles and trucks over 20 years old. Soon we'll be launching a similar site for import car brochures and later, we hope, for motorcycles.

If you have scanned materials to contribute, please contact rusty@oldcarmanualproject.com . You can email to us directly at that address, or you can upload to our dropbox. Files may be archived in a zip or equivalent file if you wish. Please do not e-mail any files greater than 8 MB. If the overall size is greater, split it into two or more e-mails. Larger files can be sent to our dropbox, or can be sent by ftp. Get in touch - we'll work it out.

We are looking for high quality scans, made with a flatbed scanner at 300 ppi or greater, in jpg or other format with minimal compression (maximum quality). The idea is to produce an archive that will be useful for many years to come. All files will be posted on the site in jpg format.

If your scans require stitching, and you are not familiar with the proper procedure, we will attempt to complete it for you. Please ensure that both sections of the picture are the same size, are square with each other, and have some overlap.

You will be given credit for your contributions unless you request that your name not be shown. If two identical selections have been contributed by different people we will post what we consider to be the better of the two, but credit both contributors. If we consider that a contribution is actually a copy of one originally posted, we will credit the original only.

Become an Old Car Guy and share your brochures or manuals with others!
